To recap the weekend, we've been going for walks, playing in the back yard, running some errands, taking naps, blowing bubbles, grilling, sitting on the front porch, sitting on the back porch, drinking ice tea, dreaming about the months and years to come and other such lazy summer weekend activities. It's been quite nice.
Abigail is doing very well. She is still swollen around her head and her right eye is still halfway swollen shut. She is a little fussy at times but we have not had the need to give her any tylenol at all today. Her stitches are looking good and some are even thinking of coming out. It is amazing how God has made little babies to heal so quickly! It is happening right before our eyes.
This afternoon we took Jaron out for a walk while Abigail was napping (Mary's mom is still here to help out and she volunteered to stay behind while Abbie slept) and we were commenting to each other that it was only last Sunday that we were taking a walk and talking about how we really did not want to go through this surgery but knew that we needed to, and that we had to trust God and His plan. And look where we are now, only seven days later! All back home and Abigail is doing really well! Praise God! He truly carried us through this trial.

honestly? my first glance at sweet abigail's pictures and i see emma. clearly. weird huh? must be that twin daddy thing going on. either way, she's oh so beautiful and 100% a riggall baby! keep up the good healing! love you guys. z

lol! Zoe, you always crack me up! honestly, too funny. we always dissect our kiddos too - my hands, shawn's eyes, etc.
jer and mary - she is beautiful!!!!! looking good. God is so very faithful to see us through our trials. i'm glad you've had help along the way in both your parents. i'm sure that was well beyond appreciated.
Thanks for sharing the pictures and update! She looks great and what a blessing her healing process is going smoothly! I am glad your parents have all been able to help out- I know that is and has been relieving to you in many ways, I'm sure. I am so glad to hear little Abigail is doing so well. It is amazing to me that she is home and looks so good! Who knows why God allows these things sometimes, but I am sure that you all have come through this so much stronger. Abby won't even remember any of this, thank goodness, and it is overwith, and now I pray you have a happy, healthy little baby with an uneventful infancy and toddler/preschool stage...you all have definitely been through enough now :-)and remained faithful. Thank you for posting those pics! It's amazing how quickly this past week has gone. Hopefully the worst is behind you. I'm glad you can relax and enjoy each other's company.
