Good things come to those who wait...

... and we are still waiting.

Remember when I said we should have the internet up and running within a week or two? Yeah, well, that was like a month ago and we are still waiting for our service provider to figure out how to transfer service to our new house. It's been seven weeks since I called them for a transfer.

So, we are all still alive and well, but still without internet and home phone. We'll post when we have it...

Not yet

Still no internet in the new Riggall household, so hang tight. There is plenty to update but no way to do it - without losing my job :)

Things should be up and running in a week or two...

All in!

The move into the new house went well. Everything is in, now we just have to find a place for it all!

No internet or home phone as of yet.

Call our cells if you are interested in our new address or need to reach us.

Cousins

Here are some pictures from time spent with Geniene and her boys, Eli and Gabe. We always have a good time. I think it's so special when children can grow up close enough to play with their cousins.

Notice here they are pointing to their mouth, nose and eyes.

It is no easy task trying to keep little boys to sit still long enough to take a picture. It was quite a riot!

These last two were taken by Aunt Geniene in her back yard.

3rd Anniversary

Yesterday was our 3rd wedding annivesary. It was nice to have it come within such a busy time for us. It gave us a break in the week and we were able to focus on each other. We didn't do too much, but anything that gave us a change in pace was special! After getting Jaron to bed, we gave the baby monitor to our upstairs neighbors so she could keep an eye and an ear on Jaron for a couple hours while Jeremy surprised me in taking me out for dessert to the Cheesecake Factory. I have never been there but have often expressed how I'd love to go. It was sooo delicious and special. I just have to say how much God has blessed me by giving me such a wonderful husband. I couldn't have asked for a better man or friend in my life.

Changes in the Boy

My little 13 month old is FINALLY getting some toophers and believe it or not, they are coming from up top, not on the bottom. Here he gives a big grin to show Nanna and Pappa, Grammy and Grandpa, all his aunts, uncles and cousins what he's been accomplishing these past few weeks. He's so proud.

We have been packing up our apartment gradually this past month and sending boxes over to the house with Jeremy every time he goes over to work, which is almost every night. Amidst all the packing it's quite easy to drop little pieces of something-or-another on the floor. Jaron, of course will find it and instead of putting it in the trash can, which is what I'm trying to teach him, he will explore the substance by putting it in his mouth, so it has been important to keep the floor well vacuumed. Jeremy and Jaron got me this handy little vacuum for quick, easy messes for my birthday in March. Jaron has watched me use it enough to realize what it's for. He's quite the little helper. Take a look and see.

Something most recent Jaron has been doing is sticking his feet between the crib rails and falling asleep. Notice his little John Deer sox Aunt Tiffy?

Our 2 kids!

I had an ultrasound yesterday of our wee one. The baby seems healthy and has no physical deformities that she could tell. The nurse was checking for down syndrome specifically as a standard procedure and I will take more blood work in 4 weeks to be sure everything is good there. They noticed my placenta is a little low so they want to take another ultrasound in 4 weeks as well to see if it has shifted. No lifting objects heavier than 20 lbs. except Jaron (21/22 lbs.) when I need to. (That may be difficult since we're starting to pack up boxes and move things over to the house.) So if you look closely at the ultrasound photo (sorry not the best take), you can see that the baby is putting his/her hand up over the face. You can see little fingers. He/she was moving around a lot too. It's so amazing to see that.
And Jaron was in the best spirits this morning after breakfast, I just had to add in this picture of him too.
So those are our two kids! Hard to believe I'm a mother of two.

Homeowning and Spring time

Yes! We are officially homeowners! Many of you have been asking about it and we apologize for not saying so sooner. As soon as we got the keys to the house, we started packing up boxes and taking things over that have been in storage. Jeremy has been (and will be for the next month in a half) over at the house about 4 times a week working on it (tearing down wallpaper, working on the electric, spackling and painting, fixing the roof, etc.) so he's been rather busy. He goes over straight from work, so he has looong days. It will be a busy, difficult time for us since Jaron and I don't get to see much of him, but it is only a season. We hope to start moving in by mid-May.
The weather here has been beautiful and warm. Spring has arrived! I find some relief from pregnancy sickness and taking care of a toddler by going outside in God's beautiful creation and soaking in some fresh air. We've been going to the park which is nearby where we live now. Jaron just LOVES being outside. He explores everything. Here are some pictures of our park time last week.

Settlement Settles Everything

Today, Mary and I did a final walk-through on the house that we are purchasing. The excitement really hits home when we are able to see the empty house and imagine ourselves living in it, raising our kids in it, spending summers playing in the backyard, etc. Needless to say, we are really excited about this house!

Settlement is tomorrow afternoon (Monday). We are highly blessed by our Lord who allowed us to see this house, make an offer, have the offer accepted after a long period of waiting, and then guided us into an FHA mortgage with a low rate (thanks to the fed cut!).

We'll post pictures at some point, so check back in. Also, we'll give updates on the remodeling progress, as there is a bit of work to do to it right off the bat - primarily electric and painting.

He's walking!

Jaron is now walking! Once he started he didn't stop. He hardly ever crawls anymore. It seems like the crawling stage was so short. Our little baby is growing up so fast. He will be 13 months on Tuesday. He still has no teeth, but I think I can feel one of his top teeth trying to pop out. I have a feeling it will all happen at once. My pregnancy is going fine as far as I know. I am almost finished with my 10th week. I am more sick this pregnancy than I was with Jaron. It's been hard taking care of a, well... practically a toddler now and taking care of myself. I just can't wait until it passes, hopefully by the second trimester. Anyway, here is a video of Jaron walking. The world should see how great he's adjusted to his new discovery. He just loves being mobile.
