Haircut

The boy finally got a haircut. It took a year to convince Mary he needed one :)
Just kidding - his curls were just the cutest thing!

Where credit is due...

I've been meaning to post this for quite some time but am only finding time now.

The above photograph, which many of you have commented on, was taken by Bob Simrak. Click on his link to the right to see his blog and view more pictures.

As far as photography goes, Bob has a knack for framing up the right picture and getting the shot - we are always impressed with his work. If you need a photographer for an event, please contact him. He did our wedding and we were, and still are, confident that Bob was the right guy to photograph such a memorable day.

More Details

Those last two statements were pretty important, but we didn't provide much detail. So I hope to fill you all in a bit more.

The house: after waiting for three weeks, we have heard back from the seller's bank (who had to approve our loan due to the house being a foreclosure). The news provided us with immediate relief, as we were very tense during those three weeks. We didn't know which way the Lord was going to take us, and it felt as if our entire lives were on hold. But we trusted that the Lord would be faithful to us no matter what the outcome was. And He has been.

During the time that we were waiting to hear from the bank, Jaron got the flu, then gave the flu to poor Mary, who, after not being able to keep down any liqids, was told to go to the hospital to have an iv put in. So we dropped Jaron off at Dan and Geniene's and off we went to the hospital. The nurses took some blood samples from Mary and when they came back, they said the pregnancy test came back positive! We had an idea that she could have been pregnant, although we weren't sure. Nonetheless, we were a bit shocked, but quite happy.

Although slightly sooner then we were planning on being pregnant, we are thrilled with this new development in the life of our family and already can't wait for the new arrival. Good thing this house is a three bedroom!

So, we currently are dealing with pregnancy sickness, finding the best mortgage, trying to stay on top of a quick-moving one year old, and talking about paint colors. Lots of fun!

Two momentous moments, in no particular order

The seller's bank accepted the offer we put in on the house! Hooray!

Oh ... and we're having another baby.

Jaron turns one year old!

Mary and I were debating last night: did the last year go quickly, or did it go slowly? Both, we concluded.

It's hard to believe that our little baby boy is now one year old! Where did the time go? How has it been a year already? On the other hand, Jaron has grown and developed and learned so much, that it seems as if he would have needed many more years then just one to get to where he is now.

Anyhoo, I digress. Jaron turned one yesterday, and we had a fun little party for him with some close relatives! It was complete with family, balloons, cupcakes, presents, party hats and laughs. Thanks to those who came, many of whom traveled quite a distance (especially those who traveled from Israel :)). Below are some photos and vidoes of the day.

Baby Steps

Recently Jaron, our son who will be one year old on Saturday, started using the walker. We were so proud and quite surprised. I had tried to get him to use it many times before, but he never seemed interested until one day he just decided to start using it. He did it all by himself the first time! We couldn't wait for Daddy to get home to show him his new trick. Thanks to Uncle Dan and Aunt Geniene for the Christmas gift. He loves it!

The Beginnings...

Greetings! After being asked by many why I don't have a blog page, I finally decided to make time to start one for me and my family. I honestly do not know how good I will be at keeping you up to date, but I guess I won't know unless I try. If I can, then this will be where you can stay caught up with the Riggall happenings and hopefully there will be a lot of pictures. We love pictures. So, here we go...
